We are pleased for you to meet Marja. She has been a part of Chiesi since May 2019 as a Key Account Manager for the Nordic Special Care team in Finland. Her key responsibilities are to create long term professional relationships with specialized doctors in neonatology and cystic fibrosis. In her role, Marja provides product information and education based on the specialist’s specific needs in the therapeutic areas with the ultimate goal to put the patients first in everything we do.
Marja has a MSc in Educational Leadership and Administration, and she is currently studying business and knowledge management at the Lappeenranta University, School of Business and Management. Marja has been working with specialists and other key stakeholders in the business for more than 15 years. Her prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry covers various positions within marketing and sale in several therapeutic areas.
What do you think is the most fun with your work?
The best part of my work is to utilize my long background in the industry in my work with specialized doctors and other health care professionals. It is rewarding to work for increasing disease awareness and improve the quality of life of patients both in neonatal intensive care and cystic fibrosis, which is a complex and progressive genetic disease. I also enjoy working with talented and experienced colleagues sharing our knowledge and innovate together.
Which qualities do you believe are the most important to be a part of Chiesi?
I think that you need to have a personality with the ability to easily build relationships and to create a network with numerous internal and external stakeholders. At Chiesi you get the opportunity to be part of many cross-functional projects bringing your experience and insights to the group and to the whole organization. Therefore, I believe that high engagement, flexibility, and agility together with collaboration skills are extremely important to be a part of Chiesi.
How do you feel that you have developed during your time at Chiesi? Or, How do you feel about your development opportunities at Chiesi?
Chiesi is a company that puts a lot of resources into their own people, encouraging them to collaborate, learn and generate new ways of working internally and externally. The company at a Nordic level is growing, which is challenging all of us, and this is really an interesting time to be part of this journey.
